AFAIK if you turn the Fast Tracks input level all the way down no signal should go through??? Does the Fast Track have a software mixer as well?

You do know the Sonar settings have no influence to the level of the input signal, don't you?

What are you connecting to Fast Track? Is it mic, guitar...??

Are you using the line or instrument levels...? in my interface that makes a huge difference in the levels. .... and the knob on the front makes a big difference too..... all the way CCW and no sound.... all the way CW and it's overloaded..... half way between... just about right.

What Guitarhacker said... but I have the same interface and I use the software controls, not the hardware controls to adjust the input level. There's a button to click to make that selection.
Open the Fast Track's software mixer and adjust there, and see if you can select HW or SW control.
