log into your e-store account (you should have an account if you have registered your software) and the registration codes are listed under the MY REGISTRATIONS link

the FX and all the stuff should be in the cakewalk folder. when you get it sorted out, yeah you can easily use the FX and VST's from either program in the other one. I use MC4 as the DAW and load up the MC5 VST's all the time.

THe numbers will be online in the e-store account only if you registered it properly. Other than that, you need to look in the original packaging.... Box or CD sleeve, that's why I set up a file folder for all my sorftware registration numbers. After I register I print the page and keep it. I also write the numbers in the manuals. If you do not have it, you will need to email support at cakewalk to get the help you'll need.

I think if you had MC 4 and didn't enter the product registration code they email you after you register it, MC 4 wouldn't work for more than 30 days. I could be wrong. Maybe they started the 30 day thing after MC 4. And I don't know why that's italicized.

Greg's right. MC4 had to be registered or it would stop working after 30 days. you will have an estore acct or you couldn't have registered it. http://www.store.cakewalk.com/b2cus/Login.aspx you can log in using your email and password- if you have forgotten your password you can click on forgot password. if you don't have access to the email you used then, you'll have to call cakewalk customer service to straighten out your acct.

very good point. Yep, I remember having to do that . 30 days to install the registration code. So yeah the account is there... you need to log in and get it.

yes, and that's the way it's supposed to work. how does the program know where you've moved stuff? go to OPTIONS>GLOBAL>VST PLUGINS and add location of the FX where you moved them. then hit the RESCAN NOW or whatever the button says. if you moved any DX FX, however, this will not work. DX has to be installed because it creates windows registry entries and that's where MC gets the information about where they are.
