Where are the Cakewalk videos?  If they are on YouTube then you can use a freeware package called YouTube Downloader.  It's what I just used to get all of the FabFilter videos to watch - works great and downloads the highest resolution (unless you don't want it to).

If they're somewhere else, then I don't know (but would search for a solution on Google if it was me ;-)

If you're using Firefox as your browser, there's an add-on that can grab any video and download it to your pc, and it also provides the ability to convert them to the format of your choice as you download.

    +1. It's called Download Helper. Great add-on.

I use a Firefox add-on called NetVideoHunter that can grab both video and audio from any site, even flash videos. Once installed, it's a one-click operation to download a video.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

I've used Any Video Converter for a few years... the freebie version... can download youtube, and has a bunch of conversion options (also for converting standalone video files, not just flash etc.)... useful for extracting video soundtracks as WAV, etc.
