how do you remove a Pro Channel preset?
I have a preset loaded, but I can not find the way to remove it (ie get it back to no preset, rather than just turning off Pro Channel). All I can seem to do is replace it. Can someone advise how to achieve this please?

Isn't there a default preset? I can't recall if I created that or if it was there from the beginning.

nah, I cannot see any default?? I thought I could right click on it and just delete it, but that is not an option either.

But thanks, I just created one (a "default") that has nothing loaded and PC turned off. That'll do I think :)

Yeah, that bothered me too. Even when I deleted the actual fx, the preset name was still listed in the window. I did what you did....just create a preset with nothing on it.

That's all I do. Another thing is if you start with a project created in a previous, non-pro channel, version of Sonar, the pro channel window will be completely blank.

Actually no it's not..... that preset loads and turns on the compressor, the EQ (albeit flat) and the the Tube!

I thought JB was correct (there is a Full Reset) but if not.... 1-just go to a pro channel track that has not been altered yet. 2-go to the pro channel save icon and save it as "Default" (with out the quotes). 3-now go back to the channel you are trying to reset and load the new "Default" settings. there's more then one way to skin a cat.

If they're turned on but the controls are set so as not to modify the sound, that's the same as all the modules being bypassed. Doing this saves you the mouse click that would be needed to enable a module prior to editing it.

yeah agree, but it does use resources just having them on - I checked the resource meter and it does jump up. I was more after a totally clean slate, nothing loaded, nothing on. Which we have sorted...see above ;)

I have a preset which is entirely blank, no EQ, even, inserted. Nothing. I rarely, if ever, use it, mind you. I tend to use track templates more than I ever need to use ProChannel presets. The settings are never the same, but I may want specific plugs, so track templates are preferable. One issue I have with ProChannel presets (and others) is that when I fiddle around with the settings, the name will, of course, remain the same. At a glance it can be hard to tell if what I see is the unaltered preset, or a "tweaked" version. So, templates work better for me. YMMV
