how does MC6 compare to CUbase?

hello

just asking what package you think is best? Cubase or MC6?

my main aim is to demo my songs and i want to add virtual instruments to fill out
the songs. And i need to change chords on the virtual piano  for instance.

Any comments are appreciated.

    I bet if you ask the forum at Steinberg they'll say Cubase.  Either package will do just fine for demo work, tho I'm not sure what softsynths come with each.  Of course, you can pick up free softsynths at KVR, UgoAudio, etc. to fill your needs.

    Not sure what that means, so don't know if either can do it.

    Well, MC6 costs about 50 dollars and the price span of Cubase goes up to somewhere near 500 dollars so my comment would be: Depends on what version of Cubase you're talking about.
    I don't think there's anything under Cubase label in same  price class as MC6 (??).

    there's not a direct Cubase to MC comparative product - the closest thing is Cubase Elements which is ~$100 and dongle free.  but it actually is closer to compare it to X1 Essential.

    for your other question regarding "changing chords on the virtual piano" - like greg said, you'll need to clarify what you mean there, the way you put it doesn't really make sense.

    virtual instruments such as SoundCenter and TTS-1 included with MC can output sounds (depending on the instrument you choose in some cases) for any chord or any single note or anything you send it through MIDI tracks either by recording the MIDI tracks with a keyboard/MIDI controller or by entering notes directly into the Staff or Piano Roll Views.
