how to add node

Wow, I feel stupid asking this question... but how do you add a node on an envelope amoung other envelope things. I have tried every tool, and nothing seems to select the envelope.

Also, whers my save icon... it's very inconienient to click on file, save with all the times we save in a project.  and I'm not a big keyboard shortcut gut. (but maybe I'll have to)

when I double click it brings me into loop mode... and i know I am hitting the line... and as I look deeper, I cant even see where to add a new envelope. I use to right click in the track, and there it was, :enevelopes" it is no longer there.  and there is nothing in the help about it... errrg, frustrated. is my project corupt  or something from moving it to X1?

In the track pane look for a drop down that defaults to 'clip'. Click the drop down and choose your envelope. Double click or  alt click to add a node.

It's called the 'Edit Filter Control' page 465 of the manual and yes it's new and confusing but pretty cool when you (re)learn it.

still cant find it... i hope my setup is not corrupt... I've been using Sonar since version 4, so I'm well aware of how to work with enevlopes... did they move the function to a secret spot? I cant find it, and nothing happens when I hover over an old projects envelop lines

You can also just Shift+click the envelope with the Smart tool. That will change the Edit Filter automatically.

Then you can add nodes either by double-clicking or Alt+clicking. The Alt+click method provides the added benefit of adding and selecting the node in one move. And if you keep your mouse button down, you can drag the node as soon as you add it.
