how to enable Track Envelopes & MIDI tool enquiry ....

Hi Folks,

I recently purchased a version of Sonar X1 LE online.  I used older versions of Sonar and Cakewalk in years gone by, but this new interface baffles me somewhat.

A couple of things I have a really hard time finding:

1.  Where do you enable / turn on track envelopes for audio?  I used to be able to choose this from a right-click menu, then double-click to install edit points, so I could easily fade in and out or cut parts from audio tracks.

2. There used to be a "line drawing" tool, when you were editing MIDI tracks, that you could lengthen the duration of MIDI notes with.  This function seems to have disappeared.  Is there such a thing now?

Thanks!  That track envelope thing is especially essential for what I'm doing right now ...

(ps - running Win7 64 bit on Intel dual core 2.2 GHz cpu, 6 G ram; audio hardware: Pulsar-SCOPE 2cards in parallel)

Yeah, moving to Sonar X is a bit like culture shock.  I sort of stumbled through it but I'm wishing now I'd spent more time at the Cakewalk University: http://www.cakewalk.com/C...ONARU.aspx/Get-Started

There's nice tutorial on envelope editing and probably the MIDI editing too.
