how to get rid of the sliding cursor behavior by default on X2?

Just installed X2 on Win 8, wanted to reinstall X1 for 2 purposes:

- its look and feel closer to 8.5, and especially that weird default setting which makes the cursor kind of moving as you slide the mouse... (well maybe I'll find use for it later, but for now it's just very annoying). Sorry if i don't have the ''correct name'' yet for that ''default feature''...

- after a short try on Win 7 which was wiped for clean install of Win 7, I still have the same issue with ''writing wave in real time'' when I record: it's not showing until I stop project (recording).  Never had that issue with X1 or previous versions.

Thanks,
Rob

Try pressing "X" - I think you may be referring to Aim Assist.

Second problem. Preferences--->Customization--->Display--->Waveform Preview while recording
