how to rec. sep. trks. for comping

hi all how do i set h.s. to record each take of a looped section to a seperat track, for comping takes. i know i could do it on my older version of H.S.

    You may not be able to do it in SHS7. SHS6 (and SHS4) had that ability, but they were more complex.
    Many of the more advanced functions were sacrificed in the interest of making SHS7 easier for a new user to grasp.
    At this pint in time, I would suggest queing up for SEX1. It appears to be the HS many of us hoped would follow SHS6.

    to the OP - he meant Sonar X1 Essentials which is due out in less than a month! but I don't know if Essentials will do that either.  you might have to go up to Sonar Studio X1 for that function.
