    Hi Ric,
    Welcome to the Sonar Forums!

got a couple of questions for you.
    1) You're using your Triton as a midi controller right?  Do you have a midi cable coming back so that you can hear your sounds?
    2)  On the Triton are you accessing the COMBI or the Sequencer to try to play your sounds back?

    3)  Is the midi track in Sonar pointing to the external midi (ie your Triton)?
Let's start there and see if we can get you going...

    hi,
    thanks for your kind respond.
yes am using triton as a controller.
yes I have a usb midi cable, connection are triton midi In to out usb midi cable and out to in usb midi cable,
    so sound is heard back.
what do you mean midi track in sonar pointing to external midi(triton)? is this like in sonar track 1 properties setting the channel 1 to triton, with the bank set to korg triton bank program A and patch to A001 bright piano.
    and so on.
I want to use the combi and program mode for accessing sounds.
already know how to use sequencer for sound accessing.

    once more thanks

Even though you are using the Triton as a controller, it is still just a sound module with a keyboard. You need to setup a midi track in Sonar that points to the Triton just like you did for the Roland devices.

    hi everyone,
its been a long time I did this posted.
well I've been working on this for a while since
    posted.
Now this is where got stuck, triton is set to sequence mode and track 1 program A 01 bright piano. midi channel
to sonar track 1 with triton define ins.
now every time a song is finished playing and restarted the sound change to GM sound and it happens
to all the rest of the tracks. I don't want all the GM sound being played back.

Really need some help on this, what Am I doing wrong or needs to be corrected

    Ric.

Go into Global mode>menu>MIDI and set the Triton's MIDI channel to whatever channel you prefer (I use channel 9).  Then, in Sonar add a MIDI track and set it to the same channel as the Triton.  Now, you can use the Triton in Combi mode and use patch changes in the Sonar track to select your Combination in Triton.  If you only need one sound, then you can put the Triton in Program mode.  Hope this helps, as I've been doing this since 2000.

    All the best,
    Lynn
