how to... © << do that.

I just happened across a wonderful bit of knowledge. I often wondered how to make my computer do the copyright symbol... you know..

© that thing...


well here's the secret... on a PC.

press control & Alt at the same time then while holding them press C

release all keys then press and hold ALT while entering 0169 on the numeric keypad
release Alt and the symbol appears.

© so cool, and so professional looking on your stuff.

    Or (in microsoft word), Insert - symbol, and it will let you choose from the "circled R" (registered), along with the circled C, the pound sign (american keyboards don't include it natively), and many other very useful symbols.

    maybe bit (Dave) was bored like me at some point, when doing programming and when it was mainly text interfaces.. we used to make the interface look nice by using alt codes or changing the screen mode.

    i remember doing ascii art in 16 colors for the local BBSes. it's got a flow to it, almost musical with the alt+3 numbers... of course i used high-ascii to get the gradients rather than sticking with just letters... none of that minimalist stuff for me
