I still don't understand this Custom shop thing. For instance. I have purchased every single piece that is in the Slash collection but according to the Custom shop I don't Own the Slash collection and it is still available for me to purchase for 100 credits.... Why would anyone want to do that when they already own the gear???
Same way with the Hendrix collection that was on sale. I owned the majority of the collection with the exception of a few pedals and the 3 new amps but I could not get it for the reduced price or any discount on what I already owned of the collection. It is still available to me for 125 credits.
I bought the stuff as singles and spent a Lot more than if I would have just purchased the entire collection so should Customers not be entitled to some sort of discount so that they don't have to re-purchase the things they have already paid for?
From where I stand the Custom shop really is not the way to purchase gear and it is the most expensive way of buying this stuff unless it is a one-of-a-kind NEW piece of gear that is not part of a collection.
I am a bit disappointed that the custom shop seems more like a way of getting the Customer to purchase things at over inflated prices vs. just buying the colections from other discounted vendors.
As far as surprises this year i also have a few which include thinking twice before purchasing any further IK products.

I'm with you on this Rick... I'm tired of waiting for a 64 bit Sampler, and they've been saying "It's coming..." for years now...IMHO....it's too late... most have already abandoned ship.... I'm not really thrilled with Amplitube either....thier Windows 8 support is nowhere to be found. I can't use ANY of my IK Products in Stand Alone, because they don't recognize my Quad Capture driver...and Asio4All goes bonkers with them.... Waste of time and money.....Microsoft announces these new Operating Systems over a year in advance to get these "Software Companies" a chance to get their products "in sync" before they are released....most don't do that.... And with the FRENZY of iCrap that IK has been releasing, they have obviously put the PC customer on the back burner... even though we GOT THEM WHERE THEY ARE...not good IMHO, and the iFad will die soon enough....and then what?

I can't complain about IK prices or product quality. I've gotten some great deals over the years. My only issue is that they threw the SampleTank users under the bus. And, yes, it's too late. We've moved on to other products to fill that void. Any loyalty that ST users had has been taken advantage of and used up. They might as well just stop ST development (assuming they haven't already).

Guys Just saw this which I AM SURE will placate all of us SampleTank users (I also have Sample Tron, Sample Moog etc etc) IK Multimedia has released iLectric Piano for iPad, Now I really feel so much better  Nigel

I hate to keep saying this Obi but every "surprise" you allude to is met with big MEHs here. And ST3 will only be a surprise in that it actually comes out. But it better be dyn-o-mite else I'm not paying an upgrade fee for it and will probably retire my IK SampleTank/Moog/Tron/Miroslav/Synh Libraries. The upgrade fee for The CS Grand may well be my last update fee paid to IK. Oh, I will probably use the Custom Shop for Amplitube3 but even that stuff is feeling kinda meh lately too. Maybe the guitarists here dig it all but I'm a bazz player who likes to have an assortment of amp sims for visiting guitarists. So I'm probably not going in for much more beyond the custom shop points I do have.

ibought the Total Bundle at xmas time.
ibe thourouly confused as to what or where I am in the prodcut line now. I couldn;t figure out what I qualified for during the CS Grand promo thingy. I finally figured out I had Deluxe 3 (!).
I looked and have the Jimi Hendrix thingy but apparently in a total bundle I now am missing some cabs, or sumin that I have to get from the custom shop, online with jam points or credits or Zelda gold coins or something?!
Couldn't figure out if I have x64 plugins or if they are x32 and only online can I get the x64 plugins but on a tuesday if the wind is correct.
way to many products, hoops, configureations etc. and before someone says go look in your IK account that is CRAZY to figure out.
I look at it as $399 (yes full price at xmas, missed all the sales) for the total bundle I just have given up and put the box on the iShelf.
way way to confusing and frustrating.

Buying collections in the Custom Shop will always be an option unless you own 100% of the gear in the collection. If you do own 100% of the collection and it is still available let our support know so we can get it squared away. Also, I have mentioned SampleTank 3 is set for 2013, the GUI was seen by a few at NAMM this year.

So your saying if I upgrade to the new Custom shop, pay for the upgrade and I already have everything, I get nothing - but support can get me squared away?!
I just tried to figure out if I have Metal that this OP posted and I actually I think I have figured out that I have Metal and the original Jimi Hendrix packs but not the new improved extras.
I have Total Studio Bundle 3. the product page says: "One Package, Everything You Need", I'm learning every day more and more that there is more that I do not have that I can get if I want - with some Jam points or in some cases not, but with credits or .....
Look - is there a way I can hand over some cash and get some of the products I want without ever going onto a custom shop at all?
the products themselves are nice, I like them. They work and are fun to play with. the web site and hoops - just way to confusing.
I was going to buy Slash pack and gave up trying to figure out the best way / cheapest way etc. and decided when I get some boat of money I would just hit a button and get stuff somehow someday but not today. sale lost.

Ik..just thought I would point this out as well..
In the Custom Shop, to restore your gear, it states:
Restoring Purchased Gear
If you have upgraded you computer hardware or OS, or if you are working with a dual setup (desktop, laptop), you may need to have AmpliTube Custom Shop installed on more than one computer. Since the Custom Shop is web based, it is easy to quickly recover all of your purchased gear for your new system. Just click the RESTORE MY GEAR option in the ACCOUNT menu.
Restore my Gear resides in the GEAR Menu...NOT the Account Menu...
Might want to mention that to someone...

Obi - I know your trying very hard to help everyone with so many IK products etc. It is appricated. However do you realize that what you posted makes no sense? I have AmpliTube 3 - I have Metal and Hendrix. I get update for free. Cool. If I don't? you just said I did. If I want products in T-racks or AmpliTube series, no. Uh, isn't Metal and Hendriz anniverary which I get an update to a series? Or did you mean other series like Slash? I will post to the IK forums- or email support. I know this is not the correct venue to discuss this, I just wanted to point out that it IS confusing and as cclarry just pointed out some things are not like the other things when described or pointed to.

The Hendrix collection is just presets using existing the existing Amplitube 3 aps and effects. They gave us the preset collection awhile back, it should be in your user area. The Hendrix collection doesn't show up as purchased in my CS but I have everything fro it. The metal collection is similar.

There are 3 NEW Amps and the EP Tape Echo that are NEW for the Hendrix Anniversary.
Those are what you pay the $39.99 for....you don't get them in the update.
Obi was talking about the update to Amplitube to 3.1 is what you get for free...not
Hendrix Anniversary. I was quite confused myself.
I own Amp 3, Metal, and Hendrix...but I didn't get Hendrix Anniversary in any update.
It must be purchased or upgraded to...
If I'm wrong then I want my free update, as I don't have it yet...=(

Yes, I was referring to the AmpliTube Custom Shop being free updates for life, not Hendrix. Sorry for the confusion. We just release AmpliTube Orange today as well! :D
