iLoud Micro Monitor now shipping

iLoud Micro Monitor now shipping (and free T-RackS Processor upon registration)

IK Multimedia is pleased to announce that iLoud Micro Monitor, the ultra-compact best sounding monitors for small studios, is now shipping and available from select IK resellers worldwide and the IK online store for only $/€299.99 per pair.

iLoud Micro Monitor delivers amazingly detailed, clear and accurate audio in a compact, efficient and portable enclosure. They are able to do this because of the combination of DSP-controlled frequency response, ultra-accurate and time aligned crossover and smart design - the drivers are powered by four ultra-efficient class D power amplifiers that push out a combined 50W RMS of power. Each individual speaker has a 3/4” silk dome tweeter, a 3” custom composite material performance woofer and a large flaring front-firing bass reflex port. iLoud Micro Monitor is characterized by having pleasing high frequencies, an exceptionally “open” detailed midrange and a solid, controlled low end.

As a bonus, when you register your iLoud Micro Monitor by November 30, 2016, you'll receive a T-RackS individual processor of your choice — a value up to $/€149.99 for free

Impressed by the reviews. I see selling Sweetwater $299 USD.
Bummer about the RCA / 1/8" inputs ( unbalanced ) but I guess the market is laptop users and people using on board sound. . I was almost tempted to order until I saw that.

The market is smaller studio spaces not laptop/onboard interfaces, and I understand your concern but regardless of the connection type these sound incredible in small spaces.  There should be opportunities to hear them in retailers soon where they'll more than hold their own against other monitors (regardless of how they're connected ;) )

Fine, but they are simply computer speakers, not what I call studio monitors. The one wire connection system is totally computer speaker in nature.
If the market is smaller studio's.. how are we supposed to connect these to our audio interface? All audio interfaces use balance outputs.
I need to maintain my standards in my studio and that is to use balance equipment. Anything else is consumer audio which is fine. But they are not professional studio monitors, just consumer computer speakers that might hold their own for mixing. That's real good news for many people, I was just disappointed that I could not use them with my audio interfaces.
I will consider them if I'm ever in the market for some good computer speakers I could use without my interface.

That is your prerogative and your own definition, thank you for sharing it.  Also, thank you for your time and opinion, regardless of whether you choose to do this and thank you for your consideration.

I'm sure those that hear them (we've had great reviews from both users and publications like Sound On Sound and MusicTech - none of whom have had issues connecting to their audio interfaces) can judge whether they blow computer speakers out of the water.
