iPad and Amplitube Feedback with iRig

I can't be the only one... I know others have complained about this but I just find it hard to believe that IK could promote this as usable...

Maybe it's different with the iRig HD, but with a basic iRig, it's almost completely useless... It has so much feedback that I can't manage to get enough gain to hear it over the acoustic volume of my solid body guitar...

Am I doing something wrong? ...or should IK be asked to stop advertising this device and refund all unsatisfied users...
