idea: how about a pre record audio buffer function? (AKA PunchGuard)

Hey guys, I'm really enjoying the new Sonar. It really feels more stable and dependable and it sounds so good!
If I could make a wish about a new feature I'd like to see implemented, that would be a pre record buffer or, in other words - making possible for Sonar to record some extra audio before you click the actual REC button. I have been using Studio One during a session and that function saved my skin a million times as the singer / client had a knack for starting to sing unexpectedly.
Yep that function would make me a very happy kitty.
Thanks and keep up the good work!

Strange. I though people would have found this feature attractive!

If you are talking about pre-roll, that is a fairly regular feature request. There are various variants of it throughout this forum, including the ability to start with negative measure numbers to preserve measure numbers for song layout etc. good idea but I have already voted for similar ideas.

Hey - not sure we're talking about the same thing.
This is how it's implemented in DP

You changed your original post to better reflect your feature request. I agree it's different from the pre-roll requests I referred to.
