Just to add to the Larry's post.
I do my own thing, processing the dark depths of warez cracks before even purchasing a program demanding online company-controlled activation.. IK's authorization manager can be taken down in a nuclear hollacost. If I survive out here, can authorize on a million computers. Illegal in the fine legal crap print, but moral to me as long as I'm respecting and protecting the confines of the licensing agreement I paid for.
This said, if you go the company controlled only route, IK is more than generous. Got confirmation from a rep years ago that they are offering five authorizations. Who gots five computers? If circumstances were whatever that you ran out of authorizations, send a letter to IK telling what got forked up, and they will reset the authorizations to another five. Liberal and properly heathen gesture from the folks, working with us as mistrusted end point thieves.
They however open a good generous playing field and are willing to grant you another five if the excuse is good enough. As long as they are in business, and you don't have to migrate the programs to another computer, all is well.
