im new to this

please help me, i just started to use cakewalk products, and it seems very interesting. There is only one problem, i need to know what type of mic i should use for recording, where i can buy it and about how much it cost. Also where would i plug the mic

    Before we can answer that what kind of recordings. vocals, instruments, what is your budget?, what kind of sound card? Do you have an interface? like a mixer or USB device?

    Yes i need help with selecting what type of mic i should use for my vocal recording. Also where can i buy the mic, my budget is about 15 dollars, could i get a good vocal recording mic with that. Not to ask too much questions, but im using the music creator 2, would i be able to plug the mic in my computer?

    If you have a mic input on the sound card, you can record a mic into MC. Fifteen Dollars? Radio Shack! Greg
