importing wav files do not start at 0

All 3 times I have imported wav files from Pro tools, the files came in just fine but started way down the time line.
Like at bar 7000 and something.
What is going on?
I put the now time at 0
I dragged the files from the browser into the wave strip like I do always.
Usually they start at 0.

You're evidently opening Broadcast wav files, which have a timestamp embedded in the file. Look in your preferences- you should be able to uncheck an option to have them import at their timestamp.
