I think there are, just scattered in various places. There is SONAR University on this web site, on YouTube there are videos by our own Karl Rose. I think there are a few other users that have done some videos as well. These pretty much cover the features of SONAR specifically.

I was considering doing a series of videos that would include hardware, mic placement, recording, mixing, etc... of a full band using SONAR of course. Start to finish from nothing to finished master. Now that would be something that is not currently easy to find, so I am considering doing that soon.

    RME Fireface UFX
    Tascam US 20X20

    Intel i7-5830K LGA2011V3 (6 CORE)

Maybe I'm just old but maybe the dialog could be s-l-o-w-e-r like you really want us to get it and not this whiz bang there you saw it style of CakeTV.

Good call bitman. Another thing I have noticed with a lot of audio-related tutorial videos is that you hear a lot of "it depends." Especially when it comes to dialing in compression settings and EQ.

Wouldn't it be cool if there were some very specific examples on some material that the viewers could download and follow along with?

I know Cakewalk has put out some with some very specific material, but going a little more in depth would be nice. I really hope I can find the time to put something together like that.

Yes, I think it would be more than cool if some 'power users' would create some videos of their process for creating a project from start to finish. I always learn so much seeing other people's approach to the creative process and specifically how they use Sonar to achieve it.

There is a 50 video series on YouTube by StreamworksAudio called "SWA Complete Sonar X2" that is simply amazing.  I'd post a link but I don't think I'm allowed.  Incredibly in depth and dense with information.  I'd consider it a must-see for anyone serious about getting the most out of SONAR whether you are new to it or have been using it for a while.  I'm a long time user (i.e. before they started calling it "SONAR") and I've learned a ton from it.

I paid good money for that series. It's about X2 but mostly still applies and the X3 followup vids are available on the same page.

For the Effects and Synths series you gotta buy the Producer FX and Instruments companion vids (unless they;ve been released on the youtubes as well) but yeah...

    Karl done did good.

All those vids are still in the Cake store for purchase.
