A Dutch team of scientists who have been growing pork in the lab (from stem cells) since 2006 think they are about a year out from beef in a test tube. 
 
What will these crazy Dutch scientists think of next ... in vitro Spam?

    This is what happens when scientists aren't kept busy on important things.  There are some things men ought not to wot of.

    These are the sorts of madmen who gave us Turkey Bacon, Soy Bacon, and Auto Tune.
