Should I un-install the old versons before installing X2 producer?

    There's no need to.
     
    It will install fine over them.

    With Windows Vista you might wanna do the install of X2 1st and make sure it plays nice with your system.
    FWIW I still have 8.5 installed and X2 works great.

    I installed over X-1. I'm using Vista. Only minor quirks so far. Just finished a recording this week without any major problems

    The CORRECT answer is "NO!"
     
    Also do not uninstall a previous version after installing Sonar X2.
