Hi, can anyone tell me where i might find an instrument definition for the yamaha psr E303 - AND if this is not the right place to be asking, please point me in the right direction,

The PSR E303 is supposed to be yamaha XG compatible, if i'm reading the specs right -- so have you tried the yamaha XG definition?
In your midi track properties click 'instruments' and set it to 'yamaha XG' - see if that works
