interface for SONAR/Logic in bootcamp?

I've been using SONAR for many years, but am about to return to mac. While I'm learning a new DAW (which I ain't looking forward to), and also to access old projects, I still want to run SONAR. I need an interface that will reliably do both.

I have TASCAM FW 1082 and I know it's soon to become unsupported by TASCAM. I don't think they're even making them anymore. I'm thinking of getting Alesis MasterControl, but maybe I could stay with the 1082 for a while. Anyone been using either of these for SONAR in BootCamp and any mac-based DAW on the same computer?

thanks in advance.

Hi Royce, I'm in almost the exact same situation. I had a Digi001 and ran it on a Mac. When I upgraded to a Digi003, my old Mac was no longer up to snuff, so I switched to a PC. After working with that setup for quite a few years and experiencing weird errors, I've ordered an iMac and I'm going back to that for the Digi003 with PTLE 8. My sales engineer assures me that I can run SONAR in the Mac if I install Windows using Boot Camp. I have had some success already interfacing the Digi003 with SONAR on the PC (it works fine with audio, but MIDI causes a weird screeching sound when playback is stopped).  What I'm planning to do first is experiment with SONAR on my PC. I was looking at the Tascam US-1641. It's 300 bucks, and has enough basic I/O to give any hardware/software combo a decent workout for evaluation purposes.

    Echo Audio

Solid drivers. Works perfectly in both worlds.
    I have the AF2 and the AF4.

Thanks much. I meant to say control surface, not simply interface. I've gotten spoiled not using the mouse. Do you use anything in conjunction with the Echo interfaces for control?

The Mackie Control is made for this sort of thing. It has a Logic Control mode and a Mackie Control mode. What more could want?

    No problems at all. Why?

For 'control surface' I get by on an Oxygen8 v2 (just to answer royce's question as well).

I know its not a control surface, but MOTU's Ultralite Mk3 is amazing for this type of work
