is anybody using voice recorders?
I think it can be valuable tool not only for business man or woman but also for musicians. I recently got one and wonder what other interesting usage people can come up with. Beside taking notes you can also sing to it some musical ideas etc right? You could put one with voice activating feature under your bed to find out if your wife is cheating on you when you're gone on biz trip.

My phone has a voice recorder in it. Does that make me a bad person?

I have used one in the past to whistle melodies into when I've been out on the street. However when I played them back later I wondered what in the hell I was thinking.

bapu My phone has a voice recorder in it. yeah, most of phones have now this feature but it's usually really inconvenient, hidden deep in menus. plus recording time is limited not to mention quality of mike etc so I think dedicated voice recorders are way better.

Most of the Mikes I know are of high quality. Now, my mic in my phone, that's a horse of another story.

Guitarhacker that's why it's on the desk with no batteries. It's clear to me you at least thought that one through.

I put a shortcut on my phone so voice recording isn't as far away... I also have a recordable Sony MD (Mini-disc) player that I used while working on my PhD. Since NO ONE uses MD's anymore, it's now just useful for recording voices... (I actually still have a Sony MD player that's part of a stereo stack too... Can you say white elephant? Yeah...)
Time for all of you to head over to Beyond My DAW!
