it's the details

that make me happy looking forward to X2: Realtime Metronome, for example

(ok, there are some big blocks that make me happy, too *g*)

One of the details is:

Icon Alpha Blending
Track and Console View icons now alpha blend, which means their background is transparent. Which means there are no more blocky, ugly, square, gray backgrounds around and behind the icons.

Fine! Just this week I enhanced my own VST2 Plugin DLL Management Utitlity, so that it shoots a scnapshot of a newly available plugins GUI automatically, putting the .png where the plugin.dll resides and automatically convert them to a 128x128 bmp in multiple versions (with a "blue" bar above, a green bar above etc.) and putting them in different subfolders of X1's track icons ("/plugins/blue/", "/plugins/green/" etc...)

Can you give us some details about what img formats are supported now (.bmp only up to now) and what the techsepcs are? alphachannel? which formats?

Thanks!

(if anybody is interested in these icons, please PM me)

Glad you're psyched on the alpha blending icons.  AFAIK their backgrounds are now transparent and SONAR sees that transparency where in the past it would replace it with dark gray. The formats are still the same ... .bmp ... AFAIK.

Now this would be absolutely bad *ss! Great idea. I have wanted this too but never brought it up. I am glad you did. Maybe they could get that feature in the first patch? That would be most excellent indeed. Thank you for posting this.

Screensets haven't changed outside of the Screenset module now showing which Screenset is active. You can save your Normal Template with Screensets how you want them and then every time you hit Ctrl + N to start a new project they will be how you want. You can also copy paste screensets from one open project to another.
