Good find, Greg. Timely, too, as I've recently been considering the $49 upgrade from JS2. Thanks, you just saved me $49.
 
I still think it's a great product, but I just can't get into the concept of machine-generated drum tracks no matter how clever they may be. I just want something that'll make it easier to slap on interesting hand percussion (congas, bongos, tambourines, shakers) without the tedium of hand-planting every hit. Such a product doesn't seem to exist yet, although Indiginus' Brio comes close.
 
 
Anybody notice all his USB dongles on keychains behind him? I counted 10 of them.
 
 

You could just use jamcussion and not use the drum part if you just want percussion.  Jamstix is pretty cool IMHO.  There is a lot to the plugin (seeming had more features than my DAW!)  Definitely takes some time to wrap your head around, but it can do its thing with existing MIDI if you don't want the AI to create everything from scratch.

That's what I've been doing, first with JS1 and later with JS2. There's one dry kick that I like to use, but mostly I've only used the Jamcussion pack for its shakers, tambourines and congas. What I'm wondering is if its generated MIDI can be useful for quick hand-percussion loops, or if it only knows about full kits.
