just bought tascam DP-24!

What a beauty! farewell Sonar....I have enough of DAWs,
back to the old school which always was reliable, intuitive and inspiring.

I'm the opposite.  I can and have done much more since converting to computer based (Sonar) recording, from a hard drive (Fostex VF160) recorder.

Hope you enjoy it. I think it would be great for live events more so than normal recording sessions. It's hard to beat the visualization and automation software daws provide.

What your opinion on it? I own tascam neo 2400, Dr 07 mk2 and sonar x2.

I like it a lot, very well built (heavy). Also very easy to use, almost no need to open manual.
Sound quality exceptional, I wish this unit had more built in effects and mastering options.
Soon I'll be recording CD fully prepared on this hardware with  no use of DAW and computers
    and will report more.
