just got the roland quad-capture interface and having setup issues

the image below reflects my sonar x2 producer audio preferences
i'm using the roland asio driver for the quad-capture interface

the guitar is plugged into input 1 with hiz on
headphones in the phones jack
mono switch on
direct monitor mix knob mid way between playback and input

i inserted a mono track and set its
input to left quad-capture 1-2
output to monitor
th2 producer 64 that came with x2 in the effects bin power button on
the track is armed for record and imput level monitoring is off
when i strum the guitar the levels go up to -3dn and i can hear the output in my headphones

issues
when i right click on the track or console level display a green display is peeking at -54db without any playing of the guitar

while the levels on the track or console level display show -3db there is no activity on the th2 level line in display or the inlev button

i'confused

input echo should be on for the track you are trying to record on.
have you downloaded and installed the drivers for this device ?
you should go to the playback and recording tab in preferences and make sure ASIO is selected.

remember you control the level of the recording by using the knob on the quad capture

input echo should be on for the track you are trying to record on.
that solved it! i'm new at this and thought input echo apppied only if i wanted to hear the signal but since i have the playbaack\input mix knob i didn't need input echo
have you downloaded and installed the drivers for this device ?
    yes
you should go to the playback and recording tab in preferences and make sure ASIO is selected.
    confirmed

remember you control the level of the recording by using the knob on the quad capture
with the  the playbaack\input mix knob correct

    thank you
