kimu arp...
I downloaded this and it's just a .dll. So I put it in midi plug in folder but I don't see it anywhere. Does it need to be in a different folder? Do I need to look for it somewhere else in X1? It should show up in the same place as the arpeggiator? Thanks

Its a vst plugin. A. It goes into your vstplugin folder. ( probably something like --
Program Files/Cakewalk/VSTPlugins
Edit = It is not going to show up next to the arp on the pro-channel/inspector regardless. You will have to load it either as, "a synth or effect." I have never loaded it, I have no idea what it loads as.. Probably a synth... Than you are going to have to route the midi to the track.. which is going to be a total pita for you, if you are really new at this...
This guy has written out instructions about routing midi to tracks..

Scroll down for Sonar its near the bottom
Hope that helps, Cheers

Thanks
I'm going to have open that up when I'm on the computer with sonar, that sounds like complicated instructions.
I'm just getting going on the arp in sonar and learning it.

Yes it needs a midi track and load it as a soft synth. Right on Linear!

Although the title says Kimu Arp, I'm assuming you're talking about Kirnu Arp?
If so, then here's a video of setting it up in X1:
