kinda green with midi

I do understand how to make the keyboard (axiom 49) make sound consistently. I see it its moving the green bar when I hit a key but there is no sound coming out. My guitar is coming through direct link to vs100 i hear it fine or microphone too. Just midi perplexes me! Anyone got a moment?
thanks,
Mike

MIDI is not sound. Its computer instructions that tell a device to play a note. You have to record MIDI onto a MIDI track. The MIDI track needs to be assigned to a softsynth or an external synth in order to make sound.
