lag in audio engine after pressing record

Hello Forum,

It's been awhile, but I'm on board with X1c.  When I arm a track and then press record, there is about a 1 second lag time before the audio engine initiates.  Is this a function of Sonar X1, or is there a setting I can change.  When I check the same functionality in 8.3, the audio engine begins immediately upon record engage.  I can run 64 buffers with no issues at all, disk usage is low, and all four cores are working.  There's No glitching in audio, and everything sounds great once recording.

Details:  Windows 7 64 bit, 8 GB ram, Core 2 Quad, 1 GB on Nvidia 210 chipset, Dell U2711 monitor.  Converters: Aurora 16 with AES Pcie card.

Thanks for your comments.

regards,

Don

I'm wondering if it is the Record count in setting under Preferences --> Project --> Metronome ?

YOU my friend are a genius!!! That was it! I'm still getting used to the location of all the options.  Thank you!! Since I had the metronome muted, I didn't even think about other options affecting the recording.

    Cheers!

No Problem  :) I actually had a recent situation like yours and it threw me off for a while. I'm glad I could help.
