latency

hi, playing live guitar through boss me25 into sonar artist, done latency thing in audio settings, windows 10, 5i chip, normal sound card, no latency on midi keyboard Akai Max 25, any ideas please, novice, frustrating

    I cannot tell from the post what the "normal sound card" is. Could you be more specific? Is the the chip in the PC or a dedicated interface designed for DAW use? It might also help to post the Driver Mode from SONAR Preferences > Audio > Playback and Recording and the information from the "Mixing Latency" section in Preferences > Audio > Driver Settings.
