linear/gradual tempo changes

I have tried to draw a linear tempo change in the tempo window, but it only shifts the tempo of the following bar. Is there a way to do this without manually entering multiple BPMs?

    Welcome to the forum.
Which version of Music Creator are you using?
    What's your operating system?
What sound card or audio interface are you using?
Is this with MIDI or audio? Or both?

In case you have copy pasted MIDI-clips in the project, they all include the original tempo command.

If MC has an Event list view you can erase the unnecessary tempos there.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

Sorry, I suppose some info would be helpful.

    WinXP SP3
    MC6
    Creative Audigy

I am copying an existing MIDI file into an assigned MIDI track. MC6 keeps all the pitch/velocity, etc. info from the file, but assigns the default system tempo.

I figured out how to draw a gradual tempo change. I turned off "snap to grid" button on the toolbar. Still, it would be nice to find out why MC6 isn't recognizing the tempo info from the file.
