locking views?? *SOLVED*

this is what i want to do, have the track view on #1 in the screenset and the console view in #2, i just switch back and forth however i never can seem to get it to work that way, what i mean is i'll be in the track view (#1) but when i switch to #2 i still have the track view unless i drag the console view back to the top. is there any way i can not have to do that? yes i am "locking the screenset"
thanks

I typically just put the Console in the multidock and maximize it by typing SHIFT+D.  Then typing D switches between Track and Console.  The primary benefit here is that you get the inspector, which will follow you while you mix in the console, showing you either the Prochannel or the track's output bus.

But, regarding your problem:  try making sure that the console view has floating enabled.  You can find this setting at the very top left of the view. Right click on the icon in the windows frame.

yeah, i found that hitting D is easier then dicking around with the module. i never need more the two screens anyway. i've been in the studio lately and the producer never uses anything in the control bar, always the computer keys.
    thanks again
