looping issue

Occasionally, when I loop midi clips in 8.5, subsequent clips will start bleeding into the loop. For example, I'll have a phrase looped, followed by a bridge. When I start the transport the phrase will play through once and then, when it loops back to the beginning the bridge will start playing over it. So both the looped phrase and the bridge are now playing simultaneously. The clips are completely separate with no overlapping. And it happens with any clip that immediately follows the looped part, so it's not specific to any plugin. If I paste the clips into a new project and reload the plugins it fixes it, so I'm thinking it's a bug. Anyone know what causes it?

I've done quite a bit of midi looping in 8.5 and never had that happen. Is your snap to grid on and set to a large increment to make sure the loop points are exactly on a bar line?

Yep. Set to measure. And it's not just a few notes that are bleeding in--it's the entire bridge. The first time through, before it loops, no problem. Once it loops, it sounds like it would if I dragged the bridge over the looped clips--like two songs playing at once. It's as though Sonar is looping AND playing the rest of the song at once. Pretty messed up. Fortunately it doesn't happen often, because the only way I know to fix it is to mute the adjacent clips, or paste everything into a new project.

Are any of the midi clips you are looping, or playing when they shouldn't be, Groove Clips?
