looping question
i'm new to sonar platinum and wondered when i drag one of my loop samples into the sequencer(an apple loop.) it doesn't let me drag it out as a loop. it will drag out, but won't continuously loop. is there a setting i'm missing?

I think you're talking about the Track View (rather than the Sequencer)(?) ... and not so much 'looping' but, as you say, working with loops.
You likely have to convert the clip to a GrooveClip (Cakewalk's terminology for an Acidized Clip).
With the clip selected press CTRL+L to convert it.
You'll notice the corners of the clip become rounded, denoting a grooveclip.

SONAR doesn't support Apple Loops, it supports Acidized loops (Groove Clips) and REX loops. FWIW Apple Loops are structurally very similar to Acidized loops but I don't know of any Apple Loops <> Acidized loop converters.
The first 3 books in "The Musician's Guide to Home Recording" series are available from Hal Leonard and

Pick a few keywords from this thread and plug them into Google.
The top 6 hits will be Sound On Sound articles, as far back as 2002 ... by Mr. Anderton.
Thanks Craig, for your continued enthusiasm, forum presence, and willingness to share knowledge.
(EDIT): Just thought ... Luvin' my DigiTech GNX4. Who wrote all the Online Tutorials? ... you guessed it :).
