losing tracks when recording multiple takes in X2 producer

Hi, I am recording takes in take lanes. Can record T1, T2, T3, T4. When I go to record T5, it records but I lose the previous 4 takes. Is this a bug? Seems like one to me unless I'm missing something. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Kevin

Win 7 64bit, Asus MB with AMD Quad Core,  8GB Ram, RME Multiface II, Yamaha Motif ES6

    Sounds like you may have "Overwrite" selected in the recording preferences rather than "Sound on Sound"

    Change those in Prefs-->Project--->Record.

    Actually, if I make it to sound-on-sound it won't create separate takes, it will simply overwrite on a single track.

    Click on the show lanes button if you're on X2 or the layers button if still on X1. The takes should be there you just can't see them.
