lots of latency issues

I am having a hard time with noises, etc . it sounds like when i record i hear the time clock. and some digital noise (cracking) after a note when using session drummer or playing. could it be my sound card not being up to par or am i mising something?
i've tried different driver modes even. -if i use asio it doesn't work no sound etc.
if it seems to be the sound card any recommendations?

Realtek.  Get a real soundcard that is designed to work w/ producing music rather than playing back stereo files.

In the meantime you can try the Audio Options and see if you can raise the latency (I don't know which drivers it uses).

jaijam , what sorta thing are you recording?

stuff inside the box or live ?

you have MANY options really and it depends on your budget. Have you looked at the cakewalk interfaces on the products page , there are other companies others recommend but thats down to personal taste, I bought a usb focurite thing the other week though.

if your in the US try www.sweetwater.com and UK www.dv247.com

The realtecs are not good sound cards to use recording with Cakewalk products. You need to look into getting a USB Audio/Midi interface.... if you are seriously interested in having your recording software work the way you expect it to work.
