That statement exemplifies the self perpetuating trend in this forum. 

Bapu is one of those guys who used to be here all the time sharing info with us.

He knows digital audio inside and out, has designed digital audio hardware, written lots of code and stays up to date on OS dev. I regret having witnessed him drift away after becoming disillusioned with the go-team, no questions asked attitude that has evolved here. I still have a lot of stuff to learn from him.

Everyone's entitled to a brilliant moment every now and then.  I missed mine.  I'm expecting that Hogs will take wing before I get another chance.  Based upon another fred, it would appear that event might not be a good thing.

Is anyone here an engineer who's worked on actual audio? 

Bouy mentioned the good old days when buffoonery reigned supreme.

But do we remember when the iron hand came down? Those chosen frew who roared into the CH painting with a wide brush mowing down left and right.

Feelings were hurt, one good member actually resigned from the CH for a bit, things toned down for a day(thankfully not forever did the landsscape change).

Yes were are entitled to  our opinions, I am sharing mine, but to be a friggin broken record and play the final authority on everything that matters, when in fact, one isnt,not listen to reason or opposing views, defer when one is wrong, just smacks of LEET-ism.

Those same mauraders are not here today. The CH survives, as will our demeanor,humour, civility, and camradre.
