Morning MM & Daryl,
Just the lawnmower-man I want to speak with.....(need some advice)

I have an HP G62 Notebook and the battery (MU06) has died. I see online that there are various prices ranging from $29.99 to $120 for this.....do you have any experience or advice on which to choose?

Do you have a "Battery Depot" or such locally? they may have a replacement OR can rebuild the pack for you cheaper..

really unless they are way cheap offshore types I would go for the more economical brand, >

BTW, as you may or may not not know, when using battery power let the pack completely discharge from use before recharging, if you only discharge a certain level the batteries will form a "memory" charge state.and become unusable earlier in their life

battery - bought one for a Dell around 6 weeks ago - $30 and it seems ok so far. My goto site for anything computer or tech these days is Newegg.com - their service is EXCELLENT - fast delivery etc and never any probs taking stuff back if it's not what you want. I don't work for them or anything, honestly. Anyway - they are the shizzle.

There's a http://www.batteriesplus.com/ here in Orlando and the guy said it's $85 (I believe refurbished)....

I checked the serial number/model/make on my dead battery and found an original/brand new one on Amazon for $23.75 (free shipping as well). Yes???

When I first built my (old) current DAW back in 2007, I got all my parts from NewEgg and the only thing I've replaced since is 1 stick of RAM and my video card.....I too AM very happy with their service and ease of access.

Amazon is also my friend (free shipping)....

BTW, a little monkey whispered in my ear that they may have a new song about to break loose.
A more mature and cultured ditty...........
