A funny thing happened on the way to the hippodrome.

Hippodrome--is that like an aerodrome for hippos?  Or hippies?  

This Mayan cycle thing...

How can anyone ever hope to complete it?  It seems way toooo long, and makes the Tour de France look like a sprint race that is over in 5 seconds.

I can feel my dog, about to bark..  In about 12 seconds, he is going to go nuts..  Why?   Arrg!!!

Happy first day after Christmas, after Mayan, no year everyone.

Good morning Jan and fellow FSFers!!!

We had a wonderfully quiet and peaceful Christmas. It was so peaceful that our neighbors son (who's 25 and visiting), got out his peace pipe and was lighting it up on Christmas eve afternoon. Of course, we couldn't see him over the 6 ft. wall, but my children playing outside our backyard thought it was a skunk or some dead animal and the comments made him quickly go inside the house.
