Wow!  That's a truckload of trivia.  I've heard of a few of them.

I thought it's only fitting to have such a "truckload" in this stinkin pile of wasteage.

Hiya Jan,
How are you feeling?

Dew oui knead to git ewe a lap dog top sew ewe can ramble instruct on wit us?

I just have to work on a more ergonomic setup.  I should also build a new PC so I can take full advantage of X2.

I'm in the process of building a new 64 bit PC for X2 (just upgraded 2 days ago).

I'm going the AMD route (about 1/2 the price of the I7) and will use some of the components from my old machine (HD's, Case, CD/DVD drives etc...)

How about you?

AMD had a reputation of being iffy around the time I built my current/old 2007 system, but I 've personally never had any issues. It's only a dual core and X1 & 8.5.3PE have worked flawlessly on it. As a mtter of fact, I've only had to replace 2 sticks of RAM and a video card that went bad (last year).

From what I've read about the new 8 core Vishera processor, it's holding it's ground pretty well with the I7's and the best part is it's aboutt 1/2 the price. I've been getting some advice from Charlie Roy as he's had a lot of success w/AMD builds. I figure as long as all the components are compatible, they should work just fine. I'm just trying to learn and keep up with all the new technology before jumping in on this build. :))

I'm currently building a new one too.

But mine will only be 63 bits 'cause I lost one somewhere in all the packaging and boxes and stuff that's lying around.

I'm just starting to think about it now.  I've been using AMD--it will be an option.

I have a hard time trashing the old PC for part before the new one is up and running.  I have some bills to pay before I can get serious, though.
