but being the cheep barstard i yam, I only subscribe to the free channels.. I did have Amazon Prime free videos with m Prime membership, but the movies were older than dirt....

Ya...i have the 2 XS and did get it at Costco (meaning, I can return it anytime and upgrade to the newer one), but they don't seem to carry the newer 3 model (yet). Apparently, you get 750+ channels (for free??) and reviews say it's much faster (dual band).
 
I'm getting this Edimax_USB_3.0_Wifi_adapter, but my router is a wireless 802.11n router (Linksys E2500). Me thinks I'm going to have to upgrade EVERYTHING.... 

Wow...  It's not just this fred that's dead, but the whole Coffee House the last few days!  Too much heat I guess...

I'm getting this Edimax_USB_3.0_Wifi_adapter, but my router is a wireless 802.11n router (Linksys E2500). Me thinks I'm going to have to upgrade EVERYTHING.... 

It's only compliant to the ac draft which is usually FAR from finalized.  As long as you're getting this to run with n you should be ok.
 
(Besides, it's shipped and sold by 5picy Bomb, that's got to be a good thing, ya?)

I'm currently searching for ways (tips/tricks) to optimize my Linksys router so that it's getting the max speed possible. I never tweaked anything since I bought the router (just plug-n-play) and right now, it's not even close to the advertised speeds.
