When I was out to buy my first car, I had something very specific in mind.  Unfortunately, my folks vetoed the idea.

I wanted to buy a used hearse.  It would be perfect.  Not only would it have plenty of room to haul drums and stage gear, but there are rollers on the floor in the back I would use to slid the stuff in and out easily.  I'd want a black hearse, of course.  I'd paint a huge skull and crossbones on the hood, flames on the front and sides, and "Meatwagon" in large letters across the back.  Slap an 8-track deck in there, and I'd be ready to rock.

Sadly, my first car was a Buick LeSabre.  There were no flames, skulls, or logos.  I did install the 8-track, though.  Years later, I told my wife this story.  I didn't even get to the question mark at the end.  She said no.

UB, I actually played in a (short lived, aren't they all?) band with an organist who had a hearse. It broke down on him one night between my house and his. He never repaired it. So, Duh, one could say it died.

UB, I think the problem is you were trying to get a hearse. You should've tried for a his.
