Having successfuly avoided reading that sign, I believe it contains a typo. I believe it actually should read, "...under penalty of Lew."

There are many Daryls there. I'm sure most of them are dung flingers but, ironically, they prefer becan (which grows on trees there) and aren't into bananas as much (which are made from pigs there).

It makes sense as long as you don't think about it.
