Alright, you're back. Now we can get this steaming pile going again.
How was your trip?
I am glad ewe asked
American Airlines bless their pointy little heads, is a very uncomfortable airline to travel.. very narrow seats, and whan a woman of large frame sits next to you, you know how sardines feel.
.
My connecting flight back was delayed by three hours in DFW, no explanation as to why...
but my luggage made it to the final destination.
My classes were jam, packed, fast paced and tiring by the end of the day, plus the first two days I had a bit of a stomach virus. One of the highlights was a tour of the RANCH saloon/restaurant next to Extron(the owner of the company built the place.)We got a tour of the sound system bases on Meyers loudspeakers, Yamaha console, lots of dsp plus Extron speakers for fills on the seating areas, plus extensive baffling and room treatment.
RT time for the room was almost nil,and beautiful wood paneling everywhere..
It also threw a kink in my plans
I wanted to meet Jan and Bapu... couldn't do that
I wanted to visit the Mouse... couldn't do that
I wanted to visit Fullerton and the Fender Co... didn't do that
Ham Radio Outlet in Anaheim ... Nope
but its good to be home
Sorry about the virus and that we couldn't meet up. Thanks for not sharing the virus with me. I can't afford to get sick right now. From what I've read, many of the airlines are installing narrow seats for us riff-raff and installing wider seats in biz class and first class. I think they hope more people will upgrade.
The Ranch sounds interesting. I'll have to check it out sometime.
I got stuck at DFW a long time ago. I've tried to get non-stop flights as much as possible ever since then. I've even used LAX to get them when they didn't have direct flights from John Wayne. Fortunately, SNA does have them now and most of the places I've needed to go have had non-stops.
I hope the trip was worthwhile given that you were ill and so busy.
