I don't even remember how it got started--but I think it was Craig that started it.  It's like that drunk guy at a concert that keeps yelling his favorite song title in hopes of getting the band to play it.  Now, I think it's a way of bumping--without bumping.

I think the Black Dog phenomenon began when we were talking about songs where the lyrics don't seem to have anything to do with the title of the song.  Then it became an analogy for anytime a reply didn't seem to apply to the topic and, finally, it just became a "thing" in and of itself!
 
So there.
