here we go again - bloody forum software

It must be the sheer size of FSF that causes the delay.  The first DAW I ever used(back in the '80's) had to go and recalculate every sample in a song.  It worked fine if you worked forward from the end of the song, but if you had to cut from the begining, you might as well go to bed.  We were running NT4 on a Pentium.  I think the delay only started after FSF hit 120 pages or so.  Anyone notice when it started?
