I've spent the last couple of days helping a friend of mine upgrade his studio, so my studio time has been at an all time low..
But I got him to splash out for SONAR Professional, instead of the intended Home Studio, or Artist.
He then got a little manic, called me, and "needed" a new AI
TODAY 
His was making a lot of static noise, and "we" troubleshot it down to a faulty USB connection in his device, a Lexicon IO42 (my old one, and it didn't seem to enjoy the amount of "smoke" it had been exposed to
).
So we jumped in my car, and went through my "list" of suppliers / acquaintances from closest to furthest.
First stop, and he bought a Presonus 1818Vsl, now all set up at his place
He was a bit skeptic that everything was so smooth sailing, and without a single glitch
