Been busy converting one of my spare rooms into a "studio." I had a studio, once, but I dismantled it because I'd stopped doing stuff as motorcycling kinda took over my life for a bit. Then, when I got back into the creation process I went laptop based and it wasn't so important any more to have a fixed studio.
But I was using neglecting most of my hardware stuff and I set up down stairs for a bit, but that got kyboshed after a bit because I started spreading out too much (not me personally... my stuffs).
Then a couple of months ago, shortly after investing in a modular set-up, my missus suggested that I turn one of the spare rooms into a studio (my original room is now the "sewing" room).
It took a while cos stuff was just lying about randomly and each time I opened the door to have a look at doing some work in there I just closed it again and thought, "sod that!"
Anyway, I spent a few hundred quid in IKEA and bought two cheap tables and a couple of shelving units, just to get a bit more organised and get stuff off the floor.
Nearly done... Need to connect stuff back up again and make some sounds... I'll still be "mobile" and I use my QUAD-CAPTURE for that. In the studio I have an OCTA-CAPTURE so that I can hook up my hardware synths. I thought it would be a pain changing between sound devices but Sonar handles that kind of shenanigans very well.
have a nice day
